LSU Holds Off Yale, Advances To 2nd Round Of NCAA Tournament

NCAA Basketball Tournament - First Round - Salt Lake City - Practice Sessions

LSU is headed to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after a 79-74 win over 14th-seeded Yale in Jacksonville.

Skyler Mays scored 19 points and Tremont Waters had 15 for the third-seeded Tigers, who advance to face either Maryland or Belmont in round two on Saturday. Naz Reid added 14 point and 10 rebounds in the victory.

Alex Copeland dropped in a game-high 24 points for the Bulldogs, who finish the season 22-8.
