Figures from Nielsen that tracks television viewership across the nation says its rating system showed that literally half as many people in the New Orleans area watched Sunday's Super Bowl compared to last year.
Saints fans had vowed not to watch the big game after refs failed to call pass interference against the Rams in the NFC Championship game costing the Saints a trip to Atlanta.
So, Black-and-Gold supporters took to the streets Sunday to march and party in what was called a Boycott Bowl to honor their team.
The Patriots win over the Rams had the smallest viewing audience in a decade of Super Bowls.
